Our doors are open to everyone who wishes to join us in study and community as we draw closer to Jesus and the life he has laid out before us. We strive to create an environment of integrity, hospitality, and connection with God and others. You can jump in with us in multiple ways. Our mid-week Hangout and Study is a great way to introduce our group. Or, join us for special events such as youth retreats, camps, and fun monthly activities. Please check out our calendar for info on what’s coming up. Upcoming Events

Our Values

Integrity

Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul. Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.

-1 Peter 2:11-12

Hospitality

Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.

-Romans 12:9-13

Connection

Jesus answered, “The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

-Mark 12:29-31

How to get started

Walking into a new Student ministry program can be a bit overwhelming your first few times. WCYG is dedicated to helping you find your place in this ministry! We have made getting connected to as easy as three simple steps:

Step 1. Hangout time
It can be really difficult walking into an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people. However, coming to one of our Hangout times can be an easier way to get to know someone. Every Wednesday at 6 p.m., before class, we get together to hang out, play games and have fun. Every week after Hangout, we have a Bible class – this too is a wonderful opportunity to get a taste of how we teach.

Step 2. Events
Start joining any number of our events. We break down our events into three categories: Core Events, Connect Events, and Extra Events. Going to one of our events gives you an opportunity to get to know more students on a deeper level. Spending time and growing bonds with each other is a crucial part of any student’s youth group experience. Upcoming Events

Step 3. Studies
We want to not only create a loving and hospitable environment where all are welcome, but we want to establish a place of growing and learning more about Jesus Christ and what He has done for us. Attending our classes plays a large role in that growth. We offer classes for grades 6-12 every Sunday and Wednesday. Our curriculum is designed to teach and train our students in life and godliness. Not only do we offer a traditional class format, but we also offer various other learning opportunities such as youth retreats, practicums, and life lessons. We consider these study times incredibly important for the student’s growth. Current Studies
