CUMO CHRISTMAS STORE
Bring toys for the CUMO Christmas Store through Wednesday, Dec. 7. The Store is a one-day event, held this year on Saturday, Dec. 10, that allows parents to shop for presents at greatly reduced prices. Details and shopping suggestions can be found on the church website or grab a printed sheet in the lobby.

LADIES BOOK CLUB DATE CHANGE
The meeting date for Ladies Book Club has been changed (for this month only) to the first Tuesday, Dec. 6. This month’s book is The Wishbook Christmas by Lynn Austin. Meetings are held at the Bob Evans in Eastgate at 6 p.m. For January, the meeting will return to the second Tuesday (Jan. 10) and will feature The Blue Bottle Club by Penelope J. Stokes.

SECRET SANTA REMINDERS
If you signed up to be a secret Santa for our Youth Group, please drop off your gift and letter to the front office or Christian’s office no later than Dec. 14. Gifts will be passed out at the Dec. 17 Youth Christmas Party.

“JUST A LITTLE CHRISTMAS” PLAY ON CHRISTMAS EVE
Our ROCKs kids (ages 2 through grade 5) will perform the play Just a Little Christmas at 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Join us for the play, and a short service following, to fill our hearts with the story of Jesus’s birth.

The Encouragers ministry sends cards to celebrate happy occasions like birthdays and anniversaries and cards to acknowledge sad times like illness or loss of loved ones. SIENA GARDENS CHRISTMAS CAROLING
We’ll be “Singing in the Halls” of Siena Gardens,1055 Ohio Pike, on Sunday, Dec. 18 at 4 p.m. as we carol through the hallways of the facility. Everyone is invited to bring some Christmas cheer to the residents at Siena Gardens during the holiday season.

ANNUAL CORPORATE MEETING IS DEC. 7
The Annual Corporate Meeting is held each year in accordance with our church bylaws. We will meet at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7 in the Fellowship Hall just prior to our Wednesday classes.

NO SUNDAY EVENING BIBLE STUDY GROUP THIS WEEK
Sunday evening Bible study will NOT be held Dec. 4. Everyone is welcome to attend when the group returns on Dec. 11. Sunday evening Bible study meets at the church at 6 p.m. in the auditorium. They are currently studying the fruits of the Spirit.

Adult Class 
Core Matters – Auditorium
Class this Sunday will cover Core Identity and will explore what it means to be made in God’s image and likeness (Gen. 1:27) and how God made humankind “very good.” We have lost the likeness of God, the Spirit of God’s character, but our core identity remains that we are eternally made in God’s own image while God is working on restoring the likeness. In the coming weeks, we will discuss Core Family and Core Purpose.

College and Young Adults Class
Philippians — Mike Gulley’s Office
As believers, we face various kinds of adversity in our world. But there is a stable source of joy in the good news of a righteousness before God that is given to us rather than generated by our own feeble efforts. Responding gladly to this unspeakably precious gift, we are set free for a life of humble service to those around us. This is the message of Philippians to us.

Youth Classes
JesusWho? Wes Aubrey/Mark Mason – Youth House
For kids in grades 6-8. This class is the first step this year into understanding who Jesus is and why He plays such an important role throughout the Bible and in our lives today.

Deal or No Deal, Mike Gulley/Dan Moore – Youth House
For teens in grades 9 and 10, Deal or No Deal is a study of the various covenants in scripture and the God who made them. Throughout this study, we strive to establish the importance of covenants in our lives today as well as understand God’s role and usage of covenants throughout scripture.

Bible v. World, Don Moore – Youth House
For teens in grades 11 and 12, the purpose of Bible V. World is to provide a strong, biblical foundation on some of life’s more difficult topics or struggles. The aim is to help strengthen/prepare the students before the next step of the journey in life.

Children’s Classes– Lower-level classrooms, 4-K in the loft
This week’s lesson continues our walk through the Bible with Jeremiah Encouraged God’s People (Jeremiah 29-30).

WEDNESDAY EVENING
Adults –Mosaic Law, Adam Szabo, teacher
To understand New Testament stories, an understanding of Old Testament stories is essential. On Wednesdays, we will be studying the Mosaic Law and its application to Israelite history, Jesus’s interactions with Jewish leaders, and the trials that the Apostles faced while spreading the Gospel.

Youth – Sermon on the Mount: Living the High Life
Hangout Time at 6 p.m. Class in the Youth House beginning at 7 p.m.

Children – Kid ages 2 through K are in the loft and kids grades 1 through 5 meet in classroom 7 downstairs.
