SUNDAY MORNING CLASSES – BEGIN AT 9 A.M.
Adults
The Teaching of Second Peter – Jim Davis, auditorium
God spoke to us through Peter’s life, his eyewitness testimony to Jesus, and two edifying letters that are full of both warning and hope, instruction and promise. This class will focus on the teaching of Peter’s second letter with the aim that we would “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Pet 3:18).

Christian Counter-Culture: The Sermon on the Mount – Wes Aubrey & Others, fellowship hall
In an increasingly non-Christian culture, our actions and perspectives must be increasingly counter-cultural. In the Sermon on the Mount, the Lord repeatedly stresses the command to “not be like them” (Matt 6:8a), that is, the culture around us. In this Sermon on the Mount anchored study, we will collectively meditate on small sections of Matthew 5-7 each week and discuss the implications of applying these teachings to our lives. This class will be heavily participative and discussion oriented.

Youth Classes
OT2: When’s Jesus Coming? Christian Thompson – Youth House
This study is for our middle school students (grades 6-8) and continues our study from last quarter where we saw Jesus through the Pentateuch. This quarter, we will be looking for Jesus through the prophets, as we see the same God weave this incredible, cohesive story that leads to the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. More details here.

Gods at War: The Battle for Your Heart, Barry Boverie/Frank Overcast – Youth House
Teens in grades 9-12 will learn that there are false gods at war within each of us, and they battle for the place of glory and control in our lives. What keeps us from truly following Jesus Christ is that our hearts are pursuing something or someone else like money or popularity. Learn more about how these false gods are trying to win your heart.
