TIME TO PICK UP BLESSING BOXES
When you commit to filling a Thanksgiving Blessing Box, your family can help those struggling to prepare and enjoy their own holiday traditions. Pick up your box in the lobby along with the list of specific items to purchase. If you are aware of someone who would benefit from a box, please submit their contact information to the office at office@withamsville.church. Boxes will be available to take home on Nov. 13 and 16. Filled boxes must be returned no later than Nov. 17.

YOUTH FALL RETREAT IS NEXT WEEKEND, NOV. 18 – 20
The Youth Fall Retreat will be held at Fort Hill Christian Youth Camp, Nov. 18-20. The cost per person is $60, which includes housing; breakfast, lunch and dinner for Saturday; Sunday breakfast and a T-shirt. The theme is Core Matters and will focus on human nature, exploring what it means to be made in God’s Image and Likeness (Get. 1:27) and how God made humankind “very good.” Registration and retreat details can be found in CCB.

SUNDAY EVENING BIBLE STUDY GROUP
Everyone is welcome to attend the Sunday evening Bible study group that meets at the on Sunday evenings at 6 p.m. in the auditorium. They are currently studying the fruits of the Spirit.

NOVEMBER PRAYER FOCUS
Give Him all our praise and honor for His blessed Son and our savior. Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! (Psalm 107:1)

PRAYER REQUESTS   

  • Dorothy Stewart, Kevin’s mom, had a mild heart attack.
  • Mike Jones suffered heart issues while he and Jaci were vacationing in Florida. The hospital placed a stent in one of his arteries, and he is now recovering at home.
  • Juanita Moore’s sister, Betty Evans, had emergency open heart surgery and is not doing well. Also pray for Betty’s oldest daughter, Jessica, who also had emergency heart surgery a few days before her mom, Betty.
  • Sam Jackson, the husband of Cindy Summers’ lifelong friend, was diagnosed with an aggressive bladder cancer.
  • Continue to keep the Knapp family in your prayers following the passing of Sara’s mother.

ROCKs events are for children ages 1 through grade 5. Children are encouraged to bring friends to all ROCKs fun activities!  

Youth Group is for young people in grades 6 through 12. Youth are encouraged to invite friends to participate in studies and activities.

SUNDAY MORNING
Adult Classes 
Building Stronger Marriages – Fellowship Hall
This class will outline God’s full purpose for your marriage and teach skills to equip you to be a godly spouse.

The Patriarchs – Auditorium
God established the nation of Israel through the patriarchs – Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob – whose stories are found in Genesis 12-50. Come grow in your understanding of this important history.

College and Young Adults Class
For this quarter, the college students and young adults will meet in the Fellowship Hall for the Building Stronger Marriages class.

Youth Classes
JesusWho? Wes Aubrey/Mark Mason – Youth House
For kids in grades 6-8. This class is the first step this year into understanding who Jesus is and why He plays such an important role throughout the Bible and in our lives today.

Wisdom Living James, Christian Thompson/Nathan Daughety – Youth House
For students in grades 9-12. James, the brother of Jesus, writes a letter to the churches throughout the known world. His purpose is to bring out honest, practical, nuggets of wisdom to apply to our everyday lives.

Children’s Classes– Lower-level classrooms, 4-K in the loft
This week’s lesson isNahum Warned of God’s Judgment and covers the book of Nahum.

WEDNESDAY EVENING

Adults – Mosaic Law, Adam Szabo, teacher
To understand New Testament stories, an understanding of Old Testament stories is essential. On Wednesdays, we will be studying the Mosaic Law and its application to Israelite history, Jesus’s interactions with Jewish leaders, and the trials that the Apostles faced while spreading the Gospel.

Youth – Sermon on the Mount: Living the High Life
Hangout Time at 6 p.m. Class in the Youth House beginning at 7 p.m.

Children – Kid ages 2-4 are in the loft and kids grades k-5 meet at the pavilion for Running Club classes with Sara Faison and Monica Moore.
